About the Founder

Learning compassion from my nani and the street animals of Delhi NCR.

Hi, I'm Amyrah, the founder of ResCue™.

My love for animals has been shaped by experiences that taught me both the importance of compassion and the challenges of taking action. I came to realize that when people encounter an injured, abandoned, or lost animal, the greatest obstacle is often not a lack of empathy. It is a lack of knowledge, confidence, or access to the right resources.

That realization inspired the vision for ResCue™: a platform designed to make helping animals simpler, faster, and more accessible. By connecting people with trusted guidance, nearby shelters, veterinary services, and a community of animal lovers, ResCue aims to empower ordinary people to make an extraordinary difference.

I believe that technology is most powerful when it serves a meaningful purpose. My hope is that ResCue™ not only helps save animal lives but also inspires a more compassionate world, one where no one has to wonder how to help when an animal needs them most.

Every rescue begins with someone who chooses to care.

Beyond ResCue™, I am actively involved in animal welfare and public service. As the founder and president of the PSG Dog Club, I have worked to promote awareness, responsible pet ownership, and community engagement through school-led initiatives and events. I have also interned at Heads Up For Tails (HUFT), gaining firsthand insight into the pet care industry and the practical aspects of animal welfare. Outside of this work, I have a strong academic interest in public policy and sociology, particularly in understanding how systems, communities, and institutions influence social change. These interests are complemented by my experiences in debate, policy discussions, writing, and music, all of which have strengthened my ability to communicate ideas, think critically, and approach complex challenges from multiple perspectives.

Our Inspiration

My nani taught me to walk while teaching me how to help others. She showed me that kindness is not an extra thing we do, it is the way we move through the world. Our family dog, Akbar, was with us until I was five, and after that I always wanted another pet. Nani gently showed me that I didn’t need a pet of my own when so many loyal, loving animals were already waiting for me outside. Now I’m 14. I have one dog at home, my pride and joy Nawaab, and a whole street family at my nani’s: our dogs Fanny, Friendy, Frinzy, Brownie, Princess, Frankie, and Fantush, plus our cats Faria and and Katu. They are free to curl up inside or wander the streets as they please, always knowing they have a safe place and people who love them. Growing up with them, I learned that love doesn’t depend on walls, collars, or papers. It lives in small, everyday choices: stopping to feed, to treat a wound, to offer shelter, to remember a name. ResCue India is my way of honoring what my nani taught me. That every life matters, and that when we open our hearts, the street itself can become a home.
